Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an entry-level structured cabling specialist to support data center and commercial construction projects in Montgomery, AL. The role involves installing Cat6 and fiber, pulling cable, mounting racks and network hardware, and assisting telecom room builds.

This hands-on position offers strong long-term growth within low-voltage and communications. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, on-site in construction and data center environments.

Qualifications

• Commercial cabling experience required.
• Experience pulling and terminating Cat5e/Cat6 cables.
• Basic fiber optic knowledge helpful.
• Ability to read blueprints and work in construction environments.
• Experience with rack-and-stack, cable tray, and telecom installations preferred.
• Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.

This is an entry-level structured cabling role supporting data center and commercial construction projects in Montgomery, AL. Responsibilities include installing Cat6 and fiber cabling, pulling cable, mounting racks and network hardware, and assisting with telecommunications room buildouts. Work Environment
