Job summary

Teledyne in Dallas, TX is seeking a diligent Wire & Cable Machine Operator for a full-time, temp-to-hire position. You will set up, operate, and monitor extrusion, braiding, and related machinery following written work instructions and safety protocols.

The role requires basic math, attention to detail, and willingness to cross-train across all machine operations; the schedule runs 2pm–10:45pm, Monday through Friday with overtime potential, and candidates must be eligible for US Person

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with at least 3 months related experience or training, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and follow written work instructions and safety protocols.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with measuring tools (micrometer, caliper, measuring tape).
• Willingness to cross-train and work extended hours as needed.
• US Person status required.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operation of machines in accordance with written work instructions and safety protocols.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Pushes button or switch to activate machine once setup is complete and verified.
• Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions and monitor cable quality.
• Trouble shoot process problems and participate in cross-training across all machine operations.
