Job summary

Teledyne Cable Solutions is seeking a Wire & Cable Machine Operator for a temp-to-hire role. You will run various machines (extruders, braiders, stripers, bunchers, planetary, re-spoolers, twinners) and follow detailed work instructions to ensure quality and throughput.

The position requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and adherence to safety standards. The schedule is 2pm-10:45pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime availability and a background/drug check as a condition of employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and at least 3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to read job specifications and follow safety protocols.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operation of machines in accordance to written work instruction and safety protocols.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Pushes button or switch to activate machine once set up is complete and verified.
• Observes machine operation to detect machine malfunction and monitor cable quality throughout the process.
• Trouble shooting process problems.
• Willing to receive and provide cross-training in all machine operations.

POSITION SUMMARY

Runs Wire & Cable machines such as extruders, braiders, stripers, bunchers, planetary, re-spoolers, and twinners by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set‑up and operation of machines in accordance to written work instruction and safety protocols.
• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.

Education and Experience

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

This position requires successful completion of a pre-employment background check as a condition of employment.

Target Pay Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour.

Physical Demands

Requires ability to stand for extended periods; walk; use hands to grip and feel and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Requires the ability to distinguish colors. Use of safety glasses and safety toe shoes required.

Core work schedule of 2pm-10:45pm Monday - Friday with availability for OT M-Sa.
