Job summary

Leidos' Defense Systems in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Cable Manufacturing Engineer to join our Electronics Manufacturing Facility. You will develop robust manufacturing processes, prepare assembly instructions, and support NPI activities to drive production efficiency.

Collaboration with design, manufacturing engineering, and technicians is essential to meet schedule and quality goals. You will work with automation equipment installation and facility layout optimization, leveraging MES tools

Qualifications

BS or MS in engineering with years of relevant experience as described.
Ability to lead and work independently in a manufacturing setting.
Experience collaborating with design, manufacturing engineers, and technicians.
Familiarity with assembly tools and reading mechanical/electrical docs.

Responsibilities

Develop/manufacture processes and work instructions that are simple, robust, and repeatable.
Prepare process flows and work instructions for assembly technicians using MES (Solumina).
Support change orders, deviations, and NPI activities to enable production.
Coordinate with quality to validate customer requirements and with production control to meet delivery schedules.
Assist installation and commissioning of automation equipment and optimize layout configurations.
