Job summary

Prince Telecom LLC in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Cable Installation Technician to safely install and troubleshoot video services, internet, telephone, and alarm equipment in customer homes and businesses. You will identify issues and confirm service requests with customers.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and 18+; prior cable installation experience is preferred. A company vehicle and comprehensive benefits are provided, along with weekly pay and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED (or relevant work experience).
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record.
• Prior cable installation or related field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, disconnect, and troubleshoot video service, internet, telephone, and/or alarm equipment in customer homes and businesses.
• Identify and remediate sources of customer-perceived issues.
• Review requested services with the customer to ensure understanding and agreement.
• Educate customers regarding product and service usage.
• Maintain and stock vehicle and equipment; perform overtime, travel, and on-call duties as needed.

Pay Range: $20 - $23/hr+

What You’ll Do

• Install, disconnect, and troubleshoot video service, internet, telephone, and/or alarm equipment in customer homes and businesses
• Identify and try to remediate sources of customer-perceived issues
• Review all requested services with the customer in order to ensure understanding and agreement
• Educate the customer regarding product and service usage
• Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed
• Perform work in all weather conditions
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver’s license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Previous experience in cable installation or a related field preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work at heights, occasional entry into attics and crawl spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery; squeeze, fine hand motion, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 55 pounds without assistance.
