Job summary

SQA Services is hiring a Quality Cable & Harness Inspector for onsite work in San Antonio, TX. The role is a first shift, full-time position offered for a 6-month contract, focused on ensuring cable and harness quality through inspection at client sites.

The candidate should have expertise in cable/harness assembly, IPC-A-620 familiarity, and at least 3 years of related experience, with strong reading of schematics and documentation skills. ITAR considerations apply.

Qualifications

Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods.
Familiar with IPC-A-620 standards.
Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler.
Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and identify wiring components.
Proficient in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC).
Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills.

Responsibilities

Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections onsite at a client supplier.
Perform "Power On" inspections of aircraft.
Ensure products meet quality and specification standards.
Verify safety wire orientation, correct turns, and pigtails as per specifications.
Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate (part number, serial number, etc.).
Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects.
Interpret manufacturing drawings and identifying non-conformances.
Periodically verify accuracy and ensure productivity to meet production schedules.
Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized.
