Job summary

SQA Services is hiring a Quality Cable & Harness Inspector to join the Los Angeles/Orange County area team. This flexible, on-site role may be full-time or part-time, averaging 3–5 days per week, and involves accepting or declining individual inspection requests based on client needs.

Responsibilities include performing inspections, ensuring compliance with IPC‑A‑620, and documenting results while maintaining clean, organized work areas and up-to-date documentation packages.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods.
• Familiar with IPC-A-620 standards.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring drawings.
• Proficient in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

We’re hiring for a Quality Cable & Harness Inspector position in Los Angeles and Orange County area. This is a flexible, full-time or part-time role, averaging 3- 5 days per week, on an as-needed basis. Inspectors may accept or decline individual inspection requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections at one or more client suppliers
• Ensure products meet quality and specification standards
• Verify safety wire orientation, correct turns, and pigtails as per specifications
• Confirm shipping documentation is legible and accurate (part number, serial number, etc.)
• Check documentation packages to industry standards and classify defects
• Interpret manufacturing drawings and identifying non-conformances
• Periodically verify accuracy and ensure productivity to meet production schedules
• Maintain equipment and keep the work area organized

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of cable and harness assembly methods
• Familiar with IPC-A-620 standards
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cable and Harness Inspector/Assembler in electronic manufacturing or related fields
• Ability to read schematics, assembly drawings, and identify wiring components
• Proficient in documenting Certificates of Conformance (COC)
• Strong organizational, communication, and software adaptation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified or previously certified in IPC-A-620
• Diploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineering
• Knowledge of electronic contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing
• Preferred: 5 years of experience, with 2 years as a Cable and Harness Inspector

$32 - $35 an hour
