Job summary

Holmes Lumber in Cherry Hill, NJ, is seeking a full-time repairs associate. The role focuses on assessing jobsites, performing repairs and tests on warranty products, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment.

Responsibilities include delivering high-quality workmanship, exceptional customer service, and pursuing product-specific training to certify expertise in the repaired areas.

Qualifications

• Must have strong knowledge of building materials and tools.
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to work under time constraints.
• Solid math skills and accuracy in calculations.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
• Able to analyze problems and implement solutions.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate Carter truck/van.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and climbing ladders up to 32 ft.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Repairs: assess jobsites and perform warranty product repairs with proper tools; conduct cabinet performance tests.
• Customer Service: ensure customers receive respectful service and high-quality workmanship.
• Knowledge & Training: obtain training and become certified in the repaired product area.

Job description

Requirements:

• Valid drivers license, able to pass qualification to operate Carter pickup truck and van (no special license required for either)

Responsibilities:

Repairs

Analyzes jobsite prior to beginning a job to ensure that quality repairs can be done. Repairs assigned warranty products using the appropriate tools. Conducts cabinets performance tests. Create and supports a safe work environment on the job site to protect the interest of the company at all times.

Customer Service

Ensures that customers are treated with the utmost respect and given the highest quality of workmanship. This is accomplished through timely completion of the job, attention to detail, following the company’s code of conduct and the ability to react to problems and complaints in a patient and understanding manner.

Knowledge & Training

Responsible for acquiring the training needed to repair the product safely and efficiently. Responsible for becoming certified in the product/area that is being repaired to ensure that we are providing the best service to our customers.
