Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Cabinet Installer/Service Technician in New Jersey to perform cabinet repairs under warranty. You will leverage cabinet installation knowledge and a strong customer-service mindset to deliver high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities include site assessment, performing repairs, post-repair testing, and maintaining safety. You will also pursue product training to stay certified and improve service levels for our customers.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of building materials and tools.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders up to 32 ft.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate Carter trucks.
• Pass Carter Lumber employment requirements.
• Good verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes jobsite prior to beginning a job to ensure repairs can be done.
• Repairs warranty products using the appropriate tools and conducts cabinet tests.
• Creates and supports a safe work environment on the job site.
• Responsible for acquiring training to repair the product and become certified.

A Carter Lumber Cabinet Installer/Service Technicianwill perform various repairs for cabinetsunder warranty. Knowledge of cabinetsincluding installation will be vital in this position’s success as well as, a strong commitment to customer service. A strong belief in the mission and goals of the company are necessary to this position.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of building materials and tools
• Possess a strong work ethic and the ability to work under time constraints
• Possess strong math skills
• Ability to follow directions both written and verbal
• Ability to analyze and solve problems
• Valid drivers license, able to pass qualification to operate Carter pickup truck and van (no special license required for either)
• Pass all Carter Lumber employment requirements
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to climb a ladder to heights up to 32’
• Good verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

Repairs

Analyzes jobsite prior to beginning a job to ensure that quality repairs can be done. Repairs assigned warranty products using the appropriate tools. Conducts cabinets performance tests. Create and supports a safe work environment on the job site to protect the interest of the company at all times.

Customer Service

Ensures that customers are treated with the utmost respect and given the highest quality of workmanship. This is accomplished through timely completion of the job, attention to detail, following the company’s code of conduct and the ability to react to problems and complaints in a patient and understanding manner.

Knowledge & Training

Responsible for acquiring the training needed to repair the product safely and efficiently. Responsible for becoming certified in the product/area that is being repaired to ensure that we are providing the best service to our customers.
