Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of cabinet drafting experience in a cabinet manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 2 years using AutoCAD tailored for cabinet manufacturing.
• Strong technical background as a Cabinet Engineer.
• Ability to review and interpret complex architectural drawings.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

You will join a dynamic technical design team responsible for engineering large-scale commercial cabinetry for healthcare, government, and landmark institutional projects. This role offers you a direct path to grow into a Project Manager as you draft, engineer, and optimize complex millwork systems. You will work on-site in Pacoima to bridge the gap between architectural plans and precision manufacturing.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Review and interpret detailed architectural drawings, engineering specifications, and client submittals to create accurate production designs.
• Draft precision commercial cabinets and custom millwork assemblies using AutoCAD and Cabinet Vision software.
• Collaborate closely with production and project management teams to ensure technical drawings meet fabrication and installation standards.
• Engineer hardware, joinery, and structural components for medium to large-scale commercial cabinetry applications.
• Utilize MS Office and Adobe software to generate detailed technical documentation, material requirements, and project specifications.
• Manage multiple engineering submittals concurrently under tight project deadlines while maintaining high standards of detail and accuracy.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of dedicated cabinet drafting experience within a cabinet manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience using AutoCAD specifically tailored for cabinet manufacturing.
• Strong technical background and proven experience as a Cabinet Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in reviewing and interpreting complex architectural drawings and engineering specifications.
• High proficiency with computer systems, including MS Office and Adobe Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Drafting, Engineering, Woodworking Technology, or a related field.
• 3 or more years of hands‑on Cabinet Vision software experience.
• Demonstrated experience engineering commercial cabinetry for healthcare, government, or landmark institutional facilities.
• Clear career ambition to develop into a Project Manager within custom cabinet manufacturing.
