Job summary

AM Cabinets is seeking a Senior Millwork Project Manager to lead commercial architectural millwork projects from documentation through installation in Gardena, CA. You will coordinate with contractors, field foremen, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate documentation, timely procurement, and successful field installation.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, strong reading of blueprints, and proficiency with Bluebeam and MS Office.

The Opportunity

AM Cabinets Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Millwork Project Manager to lead commercial architectural millwork projects from project documentation and field measurement through material procurement, coordination, and installation.

This position is ideal for an experienced architectural millwork professional who understands both the technical and operational sides of commercial projects. You will work closely with contractors, field foremen, vendors, and internal teams to ensure projects are properly documented, materials are ordered accurately, discrepancies are resolved quickly, and field crews are prepared for successful installation.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while directing others and maintaining strong communication with project stakeholders.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, approved submittals, product information, and other project documents.
  • Manage commercial architectural millwork projects through key phases of planning, procurement, coordination, and installation.
  • Perform and verify field measurements and document project-specific conditions and requirements.
  • Identify discrepancies between architectural documents and actual field conditions.
  • Coordinate directly with Field Foremen to resolve project questions and prevent installation delays.
  • Prepare and provide accurate submittal packages to contractors within required timelines
  • Purchase products and materials required for project installation or modification
  • Create and manage material orders required for each project
  • Track project documentation and material requirements to maintain readiness for field installation
  • Communicate with contractors, vendors, field personnel, and internal team members regarding project status, changes, and technical issues
  • Manage and direct others involved in project execution
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail throughout each phase of the project
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial architectural millwork.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret detailed architectural blueprints and project specifications.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of architectural millwork fabrication and installation.
  • Field measurement experience.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction project documentation and coordination.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing submittal packages.
  • Experience purchasing and coordinating materials for commercial projects.
  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies between project documents and field conditions.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, priorities, and team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Background

Candidates with direct experience managing commercial architectural millwork projects involving custom casework, cabinetry, panels, fixtures, and related architectural finishes are strongly preferred.

Experience coordinating directly with general contractors, architects, field foremen, installers, vendors, and subcontractors is also highly valued.
