Job summary

Exceed Human Resource Consultants is seeking a qualified financial manager to prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports. You will oversee payroll processing, VAT compliance, and support audits.

You will monitor branch ledgers, analyse variances, manage stock adjustments, and provide data-driven insights to branch managers. Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel is essential; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• CA(SA) qualification with completed articles.
• Minimum 3 years post-articles financial management experience.
• Experience in accounting and financial management, including management accounts, payroll, budgets, and reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of VAT, tax compliance, financial controls, and audit processes.
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and data analysis skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and integrity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial reports.
• Manage payroll processing and IRP5 documentation.
• Ensure VAT and tax compliance and support annual audit processes.
• Monitor branch ledgers, process journals, and manage inter-branch transactions and stock adjustments.
• Investigate budget variances, analyse financial data, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support working capital and fixed asset management, including provisions for bad debts and slow-moving stock.
• Provide financial and administrative support to branch managers and staff, including training where required.
• Assist with stock takes, risk management, SOP updates, and improving operational controls.
• Maintain accurate product costs, pricing information, business dashboards, and financial records on ERP systems.
• Conduct data analysis and support management with ad-hoc financial projects and reporting.
• Identify and report potential financial, operational, or compliance risks and contribute to overall business performance.
