Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Licensed Architect in California (required for Senior Project Architect designation).
• Minimum 10 years of experience with demonstrated technical proficiency across all phases of architectural practice.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, systems, materials, and construction documentation.
• Proven experience mentoring staff and leading technical teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage priorities, make sound decisions, and work collaboratively.
• Understanding of contractual obligations, scopes of work, and fee structures.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and oversight for architectural projects across all phases.
• Supervise and mentor project teams, supporting professional growth and technical development.
• Resolve complex constructability, code, and agency approval issues.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers on staffing, schedules, budgets, and work plans.
• Manage and coordinate consultants, agencies, and project stakeholders.
• Serve as a technical resource for the studio, establishing best practices and leading lessons-learned efforts.
• Review documents for quality, coordination, code compliance, and contractual alignment.
• Support or lead construction administration activities, including OAC meetings as needed.
• Assist with proposals, interviews, and marketing efforts.
• Ensure projects meet client expectations, contractual requirements, schedules, and budgets.
