Job summary

ANSER seeks a Counter Unmanned Systems Industrial Base Analyst to support IBAS under IBP, strengthening the defense industrial base and advising on C-UxS investments. Telework within the NCR or based in Arlington/Mark Center offers flexibility for this high-impact role.

The candidate will analyze threats, evaluate proposals, develop CONOPS, and brief senior leadership with data-driven recommendations for modernization and readiness.

Qualifications

• Active SECRET security clearance with ability to obtain TOP SECRET.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Defense Studies, Military Science, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of experience supporting DoD acquisition, operational planning, or defense programs related to UAS, air defense, or Counter-UAS technologies.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of hands-on experience in industrial manufacturing or RDT&E, including lifecycle management/engineering.
• Demonstrated expertise in kinetic Counter-UAS technologies, integrated air and missile defense, weapons systems, or force protection.
• Experience with DoD requirements generation, acquisition processes, and operational test and evaluation.
• Strong analytical, technical writing, and briefing skills; ability to communicate complex issues to senior leadership.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Project Lead for kinetic Counter-UAS systems addressing threats and integrated air defence efforts.
• Analyze current and emerging UAS threats to identify capability gaps and modernization priorities.
• Evaluate proposals and provide recommendations on feasibility, funding, and industrial base impacts.
• Support development of requirements, CONOPS, acquisition strategies, and capability documentation.
• Assess effectiveness and survivability of kinetic C-UAS systems through modeling and testing.
• Evaluate layered C-UAS architectures with sensors, C2, and battle management systems.
• Monitor project execution by tracking cost, schedule, and performance with oversight of contractors.
• Coordinate with services, commands, labs, industry partners, and government stakeholders.
• Support technical reviews, source selections, and milestone decision activities.
• Prepare executive briefings, white papers, and strategic assessments for senior leadership.
• Respond to RFIs and document meeting minutes and action items.
• Conduct outreach, site visits, and strategic engagements as a trusted advisor.
