Job summary

NinjaOne is hiring a C++ Software Engineer to join the Endpoint State and Control team, focusing on defining and enforcing endpoint behavior across a managed environment. We build foundational controls that let IT teams define, enforce, and maintain a strong security posture across every endpoint they manage.

If you are a software engineer with strong C++ fundamentals and an interest in systems-level software, this is the role for you.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 1–3 years of C++ experience.
• Strong C++ fundamentals including memory management, RAII, STL, smart pointers.
• Build systems experience with CMake preferred.
• Experience with OS APIs, processes, file systems, and services."beneath the app".
• Experience writing or maintaining automated tests in C++ (Google Test/Catch2/CTest).
• Comfortable working in an environment where some questions are still being answered and adapting workflows to AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Testing Ownership: build and own testing infrastructure and test coverage for two active C++ projects.
• Feature Development: contribute to development projects with strong C++ fundamentals.
• Other Duties as needed.
