Job summary

The C-Store Clerk at Lucky Star Travel Plaza will deliver STAR treatment to customers and adhere to all policies and procedures. The role covers daily tasks such as taking orders, handling cash, restocking, maintaining health standards, and keeping the store clean.

Schedules require mornings, afternoons, evenings, and work seven days a week, including holidays. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or retail experience, basic math, and solid communication skills.

Job description

The C-Store Clerk will be responsible for providing STAR treatment to all customers and compliance with overall policies and procedures of the Lucky Star Travel Plaza.

Work Schedule

• Requires morning, afternoons, evenings. Monday through Sunday, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Request to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval by supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide friendly customer service and assist customers as necessary.
• Take and prepare food orders.
• Maintain food products in accordance with health regulations and company standards.
• Maintain and reconcile cash drawer.
• Responsible for maintaining inventory stock.
• Maintain overall cleanliness of all areas of C-Store.
• Create a safe environment for the Store & Deli.
• Operate all assigned equipment (register, fryers, etc.) safely and efficiently.
• Greet guests and co-workers in a professional, friendly manner while exhibiting STAR treatment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Physical Job Requirements

• Stand continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with lunch break.
• Requires bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, lifting and pulling.
• Move objects up to and exceeding 25lbs. with reasonable accommodations.

Qualification Standards

• Must pass pre-employment drug test
• Must maintain valid Cheyenne and Arapaho Gaming License
• High School Diploma and/or equivalent retail experience
• Basic mathematical skills
• Basic verbal and written communication skills

Absolutely no felonies within the past ten (10) years.
