General Description

Inside Maintenance Staff is under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.

• Request to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval by department manager/director and/or general manager.

• Maintain the appearance of casino, inside and out.

Physical Job Requirements

• Sit and/or stand continuously and perform job functions for a full shift with lunch break.
• Requires bending, twisting, reaching, climbing, stooping, crouching, kneeling, lifting, pulling and finger dexterity.
• Move objects up to and exceeding 25lbs. with reasonable accommodations.
• Casino environment (exposure to cigarette, cigar, pipe smoke; bright flashing lights; loud mechanical noises and crowds).
• No allergies to cleaning soaps, detergents or other specified cleaning chemicals.

Eligibility and Compliance Requirements

• All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

• Applicants are required to be able to work full time, part time, on call, or day shift depending on position requirements.
• Applicants must be available to start work on a specified date.
• Applicants must not have been previously employed with Lucky Star Casinos.
• Applicants must not have been convicted of a felony since the age of 18.
• Applicants must not be currently banned from any Lucky Star Casino location or ever banned from any Lucky Star Casino property.
• Licensed for a casino environment: applicants must be free of a criminal record that would bar them, no felonies within the last 10 years, no misdemeanors with certain infractions, and must not have unpaid legal restrictions.
• Applicants must properly complete all required documentation and attest that they are not subject to any disqualifying conditions.

Indian Preference Policy

It is the policy of Lucky Star Casino to give preference in employment to qualified, enrolled members of the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes and secondly, to qualified members of other Indian Tribes or Native American Groups. Third preference will be given to all other qualified applicants.

Two forms of I.D. (including one picture I.D.) is required to complete this application. Acceptable forms of I.D. include a valid Driver's License, Certified Degree of Indian Blood (CDIB), State I.D., Voter Registration card, Social Security card or Birth Certificate. A tribal enrollment card or certified degree of Indian blood (CDIB) card is needed to apply to verify eligibility of Indian Preference.

Drug/Alcohol Screening Policy

Applicants who are offered and accept employment with the casinos will be required to take a urine test for drug/alcohol use as a condition of employment. The casinos also require individuals to submit to random testing throughout employment to ensure a drug-free working environment.
