Job summary

Jacobs Entertainment, Inc. (JEI) currently seeks a Cashier for Cash Magic in Louisiana, Houma. This position involves delivering prompt service, handling sales, stocking merchandise, and maintaining a clean store environment.

Qualifications

• Must read, write and understand English.

• Good visual acuity to check IDs and process money orders.

Responsibilities

• Give all customers prompt and courteous service.
• Record all sales promptly and accurately per company standards.
• Maintain a clean, attractive store inside and out.
• Receive merchandise and complete invoices to maximize inventory control.
• Brew coffee daily and replenish fountain drinks.
• Keep coolers, shelves and displays stocked and fronted.
• Reduce theft and shrinkage by following policies and honesty.
• Complete store paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
• Ensure proper sales and accounting for money orders and lottery tickets.
• Adhere to appearance and uniform standards.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality for shifts and meetings.

The Louisiana Cash Magic Truck Plaza & Casino incorporates 27 video gaming facilities situated throughout the state. Each site features a convenience store, fueling operations, a restaurant and up to 50 poker machines. The video gaming machines are in a separate gaming room that offers a casino-like atmosphere and provides the road weary traveler an exciting break from the highways.

Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Give all customers prompt and courteous service
• Record all sales promptly and accurately, as per company standards

• Properly receive all merchandise and complete all invoices, pertaining to said merchandise in a manner to maximize inventory control

• Keep coolers, drink boxes, store shelves and displays always fully stocked/fronted
• Reduce theft loss and shrinkage by following company policies and procedures and by practicing honesty in the workplace
• May prepare and submit store paperwork and reports in a timely manner
• Assure proper sales and accounting for money orders and lottery tickets
• Adhere to all appearance and uniform standards
• Regular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetings
• Complete all other store tasks and activities as assigned by the Casino Manager in a prompt, cooperative and accurate manner
