Job summary

Refuel Operating Company, LLC ("Refuel") is seeking a C-Store Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations. This role focuses on efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction, including helping hire, train, and develop team members while keeping the store clean, well-stocked, and guest-ready.

This full-time/part-time position requires flexible availability—evenings, weekends, and some holidays—with goals to meet safety standards, manage cash handling, and uphold

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Organized and efficient with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Honest, dependable, and willing to learn new tasks and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Work the days and hours needed to meet business requirements, typically five days per week, including some weekends.
• Work up to six days per week if short-staffed or not meeting performance, inspection, or customer service standards.
• Works assigned shifts, including at least two nights per week.
• Support daily store operations and complete assigned tasks in line with company policies and area manager direction.
• Ensure compliance with all city, county, and state beverage laws.
• Deliver prompt, courteous service to every customer.
• Lead and assist staff in maintaining cleanliness and organization to achieve store inspection scores of 90% or higher.
• Complete required training and maintain customer-ready standards, including clean restrooms, parking lot, fuel islands, counters, and stocked merchandise.
• Ensure accurate cash handling, register balancing, and timely bank deposits.
• Adhere to the Company's established policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
