Job summary

Albert Lea Area Schools is seeking a dedicated C Squad Girls Basketball coach to join our high school basketball program. We are looking for a coach who is passionate about developing student-athletes, fostering a positive team culture, and supporting the overall mission and values of Albert Lea Activities.

The coach will work under the Head Coach, coordinate practices, communicate with families, and ensure safe, respectful environments in line with MSHSL policies.

Qualifications

• Previous coaching and/or competitive basketball experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to build relationships with athletes, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Coach with practices, meet prep, and supervision at practices and competitions.
• Foster skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and athlete growth.
• Organize team events, communicate with families, and manage program logistics.
• Maintain a safe, positive environment aligned with district and MSHSL rules.
• Collaborate with staff, athletic trainers, and administration to support academics and athletics.
• Be a positive role model and mentor for student-athletes.

Albert Lea Area Schools is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic C Squad Girls Basketball coach to join our high school basketball program. We are looking for a coach who is passionate about developing student-athletes, fostering a positive team culture, and supporting the overall mission and values of Albert Lea Activities.

Responsibilities include:

• Support the Head Coach in all aspects of the basketball program, including planning and leading practices, managing meet preparation, and providing supervision at all practices and competitions


• Promote skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal growth among all athletes.


• Assist with organizing team events, communication with families, and program logistics


• Maintain a safe and positive environment that aligns with district and MSHSL policies.


• Collaborate with coaching staff, athletic trainers, and school administration to support student‑athlete academic and athletic success.


• Serve as a positive role model and mentor for student‑athletes.

Pay Rate:

• Compensation will be in accordance with Schedule Cofthe Teacher Master Agreement

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching and/or competitive basketball experience preferred.


• Strong communication and organizational skills


• Ability to build relationships and work effectively with high school athletes, families, and colleagues.


• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).


• Must meet all MSHSL and district coaching requirements.
