Job summary

ISD 424 in Lester Prairie, MN, is seeking an Assistant Girls Basketball Coach for the 2026-2027 school year to lead the Junior Varsity program and build a positive culture with student-athletes and parents. Under the Head Coach, you will implement training and competition plans to maximize performance and ensure continuity across levels, while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities include equipment management and serving as a positive role model within the school

Qualifications

• Minnesota teaching and coaching certification preferred but not required.
• Preferred employment as a teacher in Lester Prairie School District.
• Previous coaching experience in the assigned sport is desirable.
• Has knowledge and background in the assigned sport.
• Works collaboratively with students, parents, and other members of the community.
• Effective interpersonal interactions and communication skills as applied to interaction with both youth and adults.
• Skilled in team building, decision making, problem solving, and conflict resolution.
• Ability to serve as an effective role model for student-athletes and represent Lester Prairie Schools with respect in all communities.

SALARY RANGE: $3,120 - $4,216
