Job summary

Lester Prairie Public School is seeking a C Squad Boys Basketball Coach at Lester Prairie High School for the 2026-2027 school year. You will lead the C Squad program, focusing on a positive culture and strong relationships with student-athletes and parents, under the Head Boys Basketball Coach.

You will implement an effective training and competition plan to maximize performance across levels, while communicating with stakeholders and managing equipment for the program.

Qualifications

• Must have coaching experience in the sport or comparable level.
• Strong knowledge of basketball and program development.
• Works well with students, parents and community.

POSITION: C Squad Boys Basketball Coach

LOCATION: Lester Prairie High School

STARTING DATE: 2026-2027 School Year

SALARY RANGE: $2,674 - $3,613

Description

Qualifications

• Prefer, but not required, Minnesota teaching and coaching certification
• Prefer, but not required, employment as a teacher in Lester Prairie School District
• Previous coaching experience in assigned sport is desirable
• Has knowledge and background in the assigned sport
• Works collaboratively with students, parents, and other members of the community
• Effective interpersonal interactions and communication skills as applied to interaction with both youth and adults
• Skilled in team building, decision making, problem solving, and conflict resolution
• Ability to serve as an effective role model for student-athletes and represent LP Schools with respect in all communities
