Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 1+ year of experience or equivalent
• Strong academic record (GPA 3.0+ as a general guideline)
• Experience developing moderately complex software in C#, Java, or related languages
• Proficient use of software engineering tools (version control, builds, debuggers, emulators/simulators)

Responsibilities

• Design and implement small sets of new functionalities for Garmin products or applications
• Collaborate using code reviews and peer feedback to improve software quality
• Provide reliable solutions through sound problem solving and root cause analysis
• Mentor less experienced engineers (Software Engineer 1)
• Participate in on-call rotation to support 24/7 Garmin operations
• Contribute to technical research and evaluate new technologies
