Job summary

Garmin Ltd. in Yarmouth, ME is seeking a Senior C# Software Engineer to provide technical leadership and project planning for software development of Garmin products and applications.

You will contribute as an individual contributor for new technology and lead complex software designs. The position requires a strong background in C#, software architecture, and problem solving, with experience mentoring junior engineers and guiding project plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or related field AND a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrated proficiency with designing well architected software systems and modules that support new technology or improve capability/performance of existing functionality
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a lead software engineer for a complex software project

Responsibilities

• Lead software development in C# for new products and/or applications
• Decompose requirements into well-defined tasks and manage project plans
• Mentor less experienced engineers (levels 1 & 2) and contribute to technical reviews
• Provide technical input to product development plans and concept documents
• Deliver reliable solutions to difficult problems and participate in on-call rotations
