Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Math, Physics or related field and a minimum of 1 year relevant experience or an equivalent combination
• Excellent academics (GPA ≥3.0)
• Proficiency developing moderately complex software in Java, C, TypeScript, SQL, or other languages
• Experience with backend frameworks such as Spring Boot and Vue.js
• Proficient with software engineering tools (version control, build, debuggers, emulators, simulators, logic analyzers)

Responsibilities

• Creates and executes designs for small sets of new functionalities in a software project
• Uses Java, C, TypeScript, SQL or other languages
• Participates in peer code reviews and provides feedback
• Mentors less experienced engineers (Software Engineer 1)
• Supports on-call rotation for Garmin 24/7 operations
