Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a C++ Software Engineer to design and develop software and automate BDD scenarios. You will own solutions from design to delivery, collaborating daily with teammates to ensure a quality product delivered on time.

The role emphasizes building features, writing tests, and mentoring peers while maintaining robust practices for software quality and security. You will participate in an agile team focused on rapid, reliable delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of C++ experience on Windows with modern standards (C++11+)
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts
• Experience producing technical designs for software applications
• Able to troubleshoot complex systems including hardware and software systems
• BDD test automation experience using Cucumber, Behave, Gherkin
• Experience with Visual Studio

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new product features and modifications, including technical documentation
• Build and execute unit tests for new or existing code
• Collaborate with Customer Care to resolve issues with released software
• Maintain high commitment to code quality and protect sensitive consumer information
• Provide input into release management decisions and drive issues to resolution
• Mentor teammates and conduct code and test reviews
• Participate in an agile development team with automated testing to verify acceptance criteria
• Contribute to analysis, design, testing and review processes
• Estimate effort based on requirements
• Write product specifications, designs, and technical manuals
• Evaluate third-party products and specifications
• Maintain responsibility for assigned tasks and contribute to design decisions
