Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a C++ Software Engineer for a 9-month contract, onsite in Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA. You will design and develop software and automate BDD scenarios, owning the solution from design to delivery within a fast-paced team.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in CS/CE or related field, 5+ years in modern C++ on Windows, 3+ years Python, and experience with Cucumber/Behave/Gherkin for test automation; familiarity with TCP/IP networking and Atlassian tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of C++ experience on Windows (Modern C++11+).
• AI experience (agentic development) is preferred.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• 3+ years of Python experience; ability to produce technical designs for software.
• Test automation experience using Cucumber, Behave, Gherkin.
• Networking/TCP-IP concepts; capable of troubleshooting without protocol development.
• Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite.

Duration: 9 month contract with extensions

Location: Onsite 5 days/week in Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA (no exceptions)

Interview Process: 2 rounds (1 virtual, 1 onsite – no exceptions to the onsite final interview)

Work Authorization: Able to accept any work authorization. No visa restrictions.

Job Description:

As a C++ Software Engineer you will be responsible for the design and development of software and automating BDD scenarios. You will interact daily with other team members to ensure that a quality product is delivered in a timely manner. You are expected to be able to own the solution to complex software problems/needs from design to delivery.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related area (Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Services, Management Information Services) or equivalent industry experience.
• 5+ years of C++ experience on Windows environment (Modern C++ standard (C++ 11 and above)) experience
• AI experience (Agentic Development experience, formal methodology with coding with AI)
• Object-oriented programming concepts
• 3+ years of python experience -Experience producing technical designs for software applications.
• Test automation experience using Cucumber, Behave, Gherkin
• Networking, TCP/IP Socket level communications (understanding of it and working with it/troubleshooting, no need to write protocols)
• Familiarity with the Atlassian tool suite
