Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Software Engineer, C++ Simulations (Starlink) to architect, refactor, and build high-performance C++ infrastructures for vehicle dynamics simulators and HITL environments. You will lead design evolution, enable Monte Carlo and distributed runs, and collaborate on physics models and hardware representations.

Ideal candidates have expert C++ skills, experience with performance-oriented systems, and a proven track record in large-scale simulation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or 4+ years of software development experience in C++.
• Experience in high-performance simulation or real-time systems.
• Strong C++ performance, memory management, and multi-threading.
• Ability to work across teams.
• Nice to have HPC background.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, major refactors, redesigns, and ongoing evolution of the core C++ vehicle dynamics simulator and testing/infrastructure.
• Architect and improve high-performance Monte Carlo simulation infrastructure with parallelization.
• Drive development of new simulation features, models, and tooling for performance and usability.
• Own performance optimization, profiling, CI, testing, and reliability improvements.
• Design and implement new testing frameworks, support infrastructure, and visualization components.
• Collaborate to model multi-body physics and hardware behaviors while maintaining quality.
