Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking an Examiner Physician Assistant to conduct Compensation & Pension disability examinations for Veterans applying for VA benefits. This role emphasizes reviewing medical records, focused physical assessments, and objective medical opinions without prescribing or ongoing patient management.

Location is Charleston, SC with approximately 10% travel. The pay range is $135,678–$165,672 and standard weekday hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

PA license must be active, valid, and unrestricted.
Minimum of one year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Authorized to work in the United States and able to meet federal contractor requirements.

Responsibilities

Conduct C&P disability examinations for Veterans according to VA requirements.
Review medical records and diagnostic tests before and during examinations.
Perform focused physical assessments related to claimed conditions.
Prepare objective medical opinions and complete documentation accurately.
Use web-based systems to organize workload and submit findings.
Ensure reports are complete, accurate, and submitted within required timelines.
