Job summary

Loyal Source is seeking an Examiner Physician Assistant to perform Compensation & Pension disability examinations for Veterans applying for VA benefits. You will review medical records, perform focused physical assessments, and provide objective medical opinions to support disability determinations.

The role is non-treatment, with no prescribing or ongoing patient management. The position offers a predictable Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM–5:00 PM) in Buffalo, NY, with ~10% travel to other

Qualifications

• Active, valid, and unrestricted Physician Assistant license.
• Candidate must not be barred from practicing in any state or U.S. territory.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Physician Assistant.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong documentation, communication, and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills: MS Word, MS Outlook, Adobe PDF and EMR/web-based platforms.
• Authorized to work in the United States and able to meet federal contractor requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduction of C&P disability examinations for Veterans following VA requirements.
• Review of medical records, testing, and supporting documentation before and during examinations.
• Perform focused physical assessments related to claimed conditions.
• Prepare objective, evidence-based medical opinions and complete documentation.
• Use proprietary examination and case management systems to organize workload and submit findings.
• Work with Quality Assurance to ensure reports are complete, accurate, and submitted on time.
• Maintain compliance with VA training, HIPAA, privacy standards, and Loyal Source policies.
• Support other Loyal Source clinics with approximately 10% travel.
