Job summary

Raytheon’s Indianapolis-based team is seeking software engineers to develop and test embedded aircraft software, interfacing with avionics, displays, navigation, and mission planning systems. The role emphasizes robust problem solving and collaboration within a world-class engineering group.

Candidates must have a STEM degree and relevant software experience, with strong C++, C#, Python, and .NET skills, plus a willingness to obtain a Secret clearance and work onsite at Priority Way location in

Qualifications

• Degree in STEM and at least 2 years of relevant software experience.
• Experience in software requirements, design, development, integration, and test.
• Experience with C++, C#, Python, or closely related languages.
• Experience with .NET libraries and Windows development.
• Understanding of OOP concepts (classes, inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation).
• Experience with DI/IoC patterns, concurrency, and thread management.
• Experience with Git for source control.
• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate software for aircraft embedded systems and avionics.
• Collaborate with software and systems engineers to meet end-user needs.
• Support all stages of the software development life cycle from concept to testing and maintenance.
