Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented C# Developer - II for a 100% remote role supporting the Veterans Affairs (VA) department. The position is full-time with a Public Trust (MBI) clearance requirement and a salary range of $85,389 - $116,975.

The ideal candidate will design, develop, and deploy enterprise-level .NET applications, participate in Agile ceremonies, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while ensuring code quality and security best practices.

Qualifications

• Expertise in .Net framework and .Net Core with C#.
• Proficiency in backend development using MVC and .Net core.
• Strong knowledge of OOP and design patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and other APIs.
• Proficiency in SQL Server and Entity Framework.
• Familiarity with Azure and AWS.
• Version control with Git and TFVC.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices/tools.
• Knowledge of NUnit, xUnit, MSTest.
• Proficiency with Visual Studio and VS Code.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to mentor junior developers.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement software planning, requirements, and test planning.
• Develop and maintain .Net back-end services and APIs.
• Participate in daily stand-ups as part of Agile team.
• Ensure performance, quality, and security of applications.
• Support production solutions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on requirements and design.
• Promote best practices like test automation and modularization.
• Review code and provide constructive feedback.
• Mentor junior developers and support knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with DevOps and IaC practices.
