Job summary

Capgemini seeks a Senior C++ Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance software for industrial communication and device integration.

You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable applications, optimize protocols, and support Docker-based deployments within CI/CD workflows. Capgemini Engineering offers opportunities to mentor junior engineers and contribute to innovative solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in C++ development.
• Strong experience with industrial communication protocols: DNP3, SNMP, IEC 61850, Modbus.
• Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization and CI/CD.
• Experience with ODBC driver implementation and database connectivity.
• Knowledge of protocol debugging and packet analysis using Wireshark or tcpdump.
• Nice to have C# experience.
• Exposure to Industrial Automation, SCADA, Power Systems, or Embedded Communication Software.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software applications primarily using C++.
• Implement, enhance, and support industrial communication protocol stacks and device integration solutions.
• Analyze customer and system requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
• Develop communication interfaces for industrial devices and embedded systems.
• Implement, troubleshoot, and optimize communication and file transfer protocols to ensure seamless interoperability.
• Collaborate with Product Management, QA, DevOps, and customer teams to deliver reliable software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and mentor junior engineers.
• Support Docker-based deployments and contribute to CI/CD and DevOps practices.
