HireHi ищет специалиста по оптимизации производительности для ClickHouse. Ваша работа будет включать анализ и оптимизацию ядра БД, работу с запросами и SIMD-инструкциями, а также развитие тестов производительности на реальных и синтетических данных.

Также предстоит сопровождение открытого сообщества, исправление проблем и ревью PRs, а сотрудничество с межфункциональными командами для оценки влияния новых функций на производительность будет ежедневной задачей.

Qualifications

• Work with the open-source community by resolving issues, reviewing and finishing PRs, and answering questions

ClickHouse develops an open-source database for real-time applications and analytics, as well as ClickHouse Cloud offerings.

Задачи:

• Analyze and optimize the performance of the core ClickHouse database, including query optimization, distributed query optimization, relational operators, caching, and low-level optimizations such as SIMD instructions
• Extend existing and add new performance tests using real-world or synthetic datasets to prevent performance deterioration
• Help the Support Engineering team debug advanced customer performance issues
• Collaborate with other core teams to assess the performance impact of new features and provide performance tests and advice
• Work with the open-source community by resolving issues, reviewing and finishing PRs, and answering questions

• Solid professional software development experience in C++ and experience with Unix Systems
• Strong knowledge of database internals and design
• Experience in performance engineering
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering teams
• Willingness to work closely with the open-source community and participate in code reviews with patience and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving and production debugging skills
• Passion for efficiency, availability, scalability, and data governance
• High responsibility, ownership, and accountability
