Job summary

ClickHouse is seeking an experienced AI/ML engineer to design and implement AI-powered features across the ClickHouse Cloud backend and frontend. You will build scalable APIs, connect database capabilities with AI services, and integrate AI models into production with monitoring and observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering in production environments.
• Experience with AI/ML technologies.
• Backend development in TypeScript or Python, focused on API design and service architecture.
• Ability to drive features from concept to production with minimal supervision.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Nice to have: experience integrating and deploying AI/ML models in production, including inference APIs and vector databases.
• Nice to have: familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP AI deployment services.
• Nice to have: understanding of database systems and data processing pipelines.
• Nice to have: ClickHouse experience.

The AI/ML Engineering team builds and operates ClickHouse's AI and machine learning products, including the Agentic Data Stack, AI Functions, chDB, an in-Console copilot, and AI/ML partnerships. It also develops shared components and expertise that enable other ClickHouse teams to deliver AI capabilities.
