University Health System- San Antonio seeks a skilled sourcing and procurement professional to manage contract documents and ensure best-value outcomes across the system. You will collaborate with end users, GPOs, and Contract Management to coordinate, solicit, analyze, and negotiate complex contracts.

The role involves post-award contract administration and adherence to terms, with an emphasis on reducing expenses and maintaining system-wide compliance and positive working relations.

Formación

• Bachelor degree in business, procurement or related field is required.
• Procurement experience may substitute for degree (4 years).
• Three years contracting or sourcing experience is preferred.
• Two years healthcare and hospital purchasing experience is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Source, procure, and establish contracts for products, capital equipment, and services for University Health System.
• Coordinate preparation, competitive solicitation, analytics and negotiation of complex contracts and agreements.
• Review terms and conditions submitted by vendors for conflict with University Health System's terms and conditions.
• Administer contracts after award to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the contracts.
• Maintain good guest and working relations.

Performs various basic and advanced duties essential to sourcing, procurement, and the establishment of contracts for products, capital equipment, and services for University Health and assures system-wide best value is achieved and maintained. Responsible for managing sourcing, procurement, and contract documents in collaboration with end users, Group Purchasing Organizations, and Contract Management in alliance with contract compliance and expense reduction initiatives. Performs work of considerable difficulty related to the coordination, preparation, competitive solicitation; analytics and negotiation of complex contracts and agreements. Reviews terms and conditions submitted by vendors for conflict with University Health System's terms and conditions. Administers contracts after award to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the contracts. Performs duties promptly and efficiently and complies with University Health and departmental policies. Maintains good guest and working relations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Bachelor degree in business, procurement or other related field is required. Four years of procurement experience may be used in lieu of the Bachelor's degree requirements. Three years of contracting or sourcing experience is preferred. Three years of increasingly complex contracts and public procurement experience is preferred. Two years of healthcare and hospital related purchasing experience is preferred.
