Job description

This role is responsible for purchasing all materials used in the kitting operation, ensuring material availability to meet forecasted requirements while maintaining targeted inventory levels. It manages day-to-day communication with suppliers and supports supplier ramp-up plans for critical NPI launches.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all purchasing policies and procedures.
• Lead purchase order management, including PO placement, supplier confirmations, expediting, and escalation of supply issues.
• Communicate daily with suppliers via calls, develop shipment plans, and monitor delivery dates to meet plans.
• Place internal orders and ensure timely shipment and receipt at international distribution centers.
• Create purchase requisitions for non-inventory items as needed.
• Collaborate with AP to resolve invoice issues.
• Support quality and distribution teams in disposition of non-conforming material.
• Coordinate with receiving, logistics, inspection, and distribution teams daily.
• Monitor MRP output and take appropriate actions.
• Update purchasing parameters in SAP as required.
• Maintain runout sheets as needed.
• Support ad-hoc requests as required.

Education and Experience:

• BS Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5+ years purchasing experience in manufacturing or distribution preferred.
• Experience with FDA-regulated medical companies preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, especially SAP, preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong understanding of supply chain, inventory control, MRP, and planning.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently, escalate concerns promptly.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.

Salary range: $62,625 - $93,937.50, based on role, level, location, skills, and experience. Details shared during hiring.
