Purchasing Agent

Who we are:

Loader Parts Source (LPS) is a growing company serving the skid loader repair industry. Founded in 2008, we have expanded into 3 buildings in Elkhart, IN. We utilize EOS as our operating system and are committed to developing leaders in all aspects of life.

Summary / Purpose of the position:

The Purchasing Agent is responsible for processing weekly orders to maintain stock levels, handling drop ship orders, and communicating with vendors regarding pricing and lead times.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Purchasing Manager.

Responsibilities:

  1. Accurately and promptly process bi-weekly stock orders.
  2. Update purchase orders with vendor confirmations and lead times.
  3. Review open purchase orders and follow up with vendors as needed.
  4. Reconcile product deliveries with purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.
  5. Monitor orders to ensure timely delivery.
  6. Maintain internal databases with order details.
  7. Coordinate with warehouse staff to confirm product arrivals.
  8. Regularly order supplies for warehouse, shop, and office.
  9. Model and promote company culture.

Qualifications / Other Requirements:

  • Knowledge of purchasing systems including Word, Excel, G Suite, Magento, NetSuite, and others.
  • Ability to prioritize, work independently, and achieve department goals.
  • Growth and improvement mindset.
