MEPPI’s Electrical Distribution Division (EDD) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to manage the procurement and inventory of materials essential to our production operations. This role will be pivotal in sourcing, negotiating, and maintaining supplier relationships to ensure seamless, cost-effective production flow. If you have strong analytical skills, experience in supply chain functions, and a passion for operational excellence, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Do:

Source & Qualify Suppliers:
Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers that meet quality, pricing, and delivery requirements. Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance to maintain optimal service levels.

Keep Production Moving:
Maintain an optimal flow of production materials to support continuous manufacturing. Analyze inventory levels and support cycle counting to ensure accurate stock data.

Drive Strategic Procurement:
Evaluate product specifications and market trends to identify best-value sourcing opportunities. Procure transportation services for inbound shipments and expedite deliveries as needed.

Ensure Procurement Accuracy:
Generate contracts and legal documents as needed in collaboration with in-house counsel. Review all requisitions and purchase orders for compliance with internal policies and standards.

Build Strong Supplier Relationships:
Partner with both domestic and international vendors to resolve issues, improve collaboration, and drive continuous improvement in delivery, quality, and pricing.

Maintain Data Integrity:
Ensure business system records reflect accurate cost, part planning data, and vendor information to support planning and reporting functions.

What You Bring:

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience:
3–5 years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, or materials coordination—or equivalent education and experience.

Skills:

Intermediate-level skills in supply chain systems and purchasing techniques, including negotiation.

Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with internal teams and suppliers.

Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems.
