Responsibilities

• Procure components and materials that meet demand while considering cost, delivery, and obsolescence.
• Align deliveries to minimize inventory and support production and service needs.
• Conduct market research to identify vendors and assess capabilities via audits and performance.
• Manage qualification of new suppliers with internal teams (engineering, quality, production).
• Negotiate costs and terms to maximize value and reduce total cost of ownership.
• Lead supplier initiatives, approve alternate designs or methods, and analyze cost changes.
• Use quantitative methods to analyze costs and support decision making.
• Maintain supplier performance through scorecards and corrective actions.
