Job summary

Berendsen Fluid Power is seeking an onsite Purchasing Agent for our Tulsa, OK corporate office to manage hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components purchases and inventory across distribution centers. You will place orders, resolve shipment and invoice discrepancies, and maintain accurate databases while supporting both inside and field sales with pricing and delivery information.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Prior purchasing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and data entry skills required.

Responsibilities

• Purchasing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components to maintain optimal stocking levels at distribution centers.
• Ordering products for customer allocations and proper inventory management.
• Resolving discrepancies in shipments and invoices.
• Maintaining inventory databases.
• Utilizing liquidation channels and following up on orders to assure on-time delivery.
• Entering purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensuring quantity and timing of deliveries meet customer requirements.
• Assisting inside and field sales with pricing, delivery, expediting, sourcing and technical information.
• Working professionally to resolve customer problems using available resources.
• Following well-defined guidelines to accomplish routine assignments and support sales efforts.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Purchasing of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components to maintain optimal stocking levels at distribution centers
• Ordering products for customer allocations and proper inventory management
• Resolving discrepancies in shipments and invoices
• Maintaining inventory databases
• Utilizing liquidation channels and following up on orders to assure on-time delivery
• Entering purchase orders in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensuring quantity and timing of deliveries are managed to meet customer requirements
• Assisting both inside sales and field sales with accurate price, delivery, expediting, sourcing and technical information upon request
• Work in a professional manner to resolve customer's problems and issues, using all available resources
• The successful applicant must work within well-defined guidelines to accomplish routine assignments and support sales efforts.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Prior purchasing experience
• Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in numeric and data entry skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
