Job summary

Williams International is seeking a Buyer to purchase and negotiate services and materials across machined hardware, tooling, forgings, standard hardware, electronics, and more. The role focuses on supplier qualification, cost optimization, and timely delivery in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

You will help ensure ISO9001 standards, identify new suppliers, manage supplier relationships on price, quality and delivery, and lead RFQs with follow-up and negotiations. U.S.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing technologies or commodities.
  • Strong knowledge in purchasing, contracts or materials.
  • MS Office and ERP system knowledge required; SAP preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain U.S. Government security clearance if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase and negotiate services and materials across machined hardware, tooling, forgings, standard hardware, electronics, etc.
  • Assist in identifying new suppliers to support process and spend efficiencies.
  • Ensure ISO9001 standards are maintained.
  • Strategic sourcing of assigned commodity parts.
  • Manage supplier relationships with price, quality and delivery requirements.
  • Manage orders through follow up, issue resolution, and contract negotiation.
  • Analyze, negotiate and issue RFQs for new and existing materials and contracts.
  • Responsible for product safety and quality per the company Quality Policy.
  • Possess eligibility for U.S. Government security investigations as required.

The Opportunity

The Buyer will be responsible for purchasing and negotiating services and/or materials. Areas may include: machined hardware, tooling, forgings, standard hardware, electronics, etc. The Buyer will also assist in identifying new suppliers to support process and spend efficiencies.

Additionally, the Buyer will be responsible for:

  • Working to ensure ISO9001 standards are maintained.
  • Strategic sourcing of assigned commodity parts.
  • Managing business relationships with suppliers commensurate with WI standards including price, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Managing orders through follow up, issue resolution, and contract negotiation.
  • Analyzing, negotiating and issuing RFQ’s to suppliers for new and existing materials, supply contracts and services.
  • Responsible and accountable for product safety and the quality of work, including, as a minimum, all elements defined in the Company’s Quality Policy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related field
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in manufacturing technologies and/or commodities is desired
  • Strong knowledge and abilities in the following areas: purchasing, contracts or materials
  • MS Office and ERP system knowledge is required; SAP preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical and organizational skills
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
