Job summary

A leading aerospace manufacturer in Ogden, Utah is seeking an Engineer to join their Facilities Engineering Team. This role includes responsibility for maintaining existing layouts, designing future improvements, and managing various infrastructure projects. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, proficiency in CAD, and strong understanding of building systems. The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for an Engineer to join our Facilities Engineering Team.

The qualified candidate will be primarily responsible for:

  • Maintaining and updating existing plant layouts.
  • Designing future layout improvements based on Manufacturing requirements.
  • Managing various projects including:
    • Infrastructure system improvements
    • Building demolitions
    • Manufacturing cell relocations
    • Future expansion site planning
    • Installation/relocation of machines
  • Coordinating various contractors performing work on site, and communicating project goals and expectations.
  • Coordinating inspections and preventative maintenance of building life-safety systems and other various equipment.
  • Overseeing handling and disposal of chemicals and waste, both hazardous and non-hazardous.
  • Assist in EPA audits and internal record keeping, ensuring company compliance.
  • Working closely with executive leadership and other functional groups to maintain schedule and budget.
  • Utilization of MS Office tools to present and track project status.
  • Other technical, physical, and administrative duties as required.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering.
  • An in-depth understanding of building infrastructure systems (electrical, mechanical, and plumbing).
  • Proficient with CAD and drafting software such as AutoCAD; experience with Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and Siemens NX is a plus.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret building drawings and machine specifications at an advanced level.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint).

Preferred:

  • Prior construction or manufacturing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building code, OSHA, and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (EPA, RCRA, DOT, and UDEQ).
  • PMP or other project management certification.

U.S. citizenship is required. Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
