ABB Installation Products Inc. is seeking a qualified purchaser to manage materials sourcing for the Motion product group in North America. You will issue POs, negotiate supplier terms, and pursue frame agreements while ensuring alignment with corporate policies.

The role requires ERP/SAP proficiency, manufacturing purchasing experience, and strong communication. Onsite work with a dynamic team, offering growth opportunities in a leading industrial group.

Formación

• ERP systems, SAP experience, MS Office and manufacturing experience.
• 3+ years in manufacturing purchasing.
• Experience in supply management, contracts, terms and company policies.
• Ability to maintain partnerships with internal and external collaborators.
• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years experience or Master's with 2+ years or HS with 10 years in manufacturing purchasing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

In this role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule, and terms. Each day, you will ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying new suppliers in cooperation with the relevant category team.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Initiating Purchase Orders in the system, according to the purchase requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring, and tracking supplier performance to PO requirements.
• Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists and terms and conditions.
• Recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval.
• Analyzing and evaluating bids to determine the optimal value.

Qualifications for the role

• Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, SAP Experience, relevant tools and methodologies, working experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). and the relevant experience in Electrical industry/manufacturing sector
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing purchasing department field.
• Experience in Supply management and quality processes, experience working with projects, contract law, commercial terms, standard procurement procedures and related Company policies.
• Capacity to maintain partnerships with internal and external collaborators
• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 3 years of experience or Master's Degree and minimum 2 years of experience or High School Diploma and minimum 10 years of experience in manufacturing purchasing department .
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
