The ideal candidate will manage purchase orders, approvals, and supplier communications, ensuring timely material arrivals and accurate order tracking. A Bachelor's in a related field and at least one year of purchasing experience are preferred.

  • Develop and maintain an efficient system for tracking open orders.

Job description

Job summary:

Coordinate the ordering of raw material or outside supplier services with the demand of the business. This includes expediting, and interfacing with manufacturing and quality departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enter purchase orders in systems as needed or directed
  • Seek approvals for purchases based on dollar level and divisional protocols
  • Send purchase orders to suppliers
  • Seek approvals for purchases based on dollar level and divisional protocols
  • Monitor MRP requirements so that material orders are placed in a timely manner to meet the organizational needs
  • Develop/utilize an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders
  • Provide reporting on material and order status as needed; perform cycle counts as needed
  • Support departmental and organizational goals

Job Skills & Abilities:

  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office; especially Word & Excel
