Job summary

New Hampshire Ball Bearings, Inc. (NHBB) is seeking a Production Scheduler to coordinate planning and ensure on-time delivery for key product lines.

You will interface with manufacturing, quality, and materials to optimize workflow and use MRP systems to load the floor efficiently. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with Word/Excel, and the ability to communicate effectively across teams to meet production targets and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 4 years of production scheduling or planning experience preferred.
  • Experience using MRP software.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate production planning workflow for one or multiple products.
  • Review the monthly build plan and create/schedule work orders to load the manufacturing floor.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production capacity and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production, sales and inventory reports.
  • Work with materials to rectify inventory issues from work orders.
  • Understand and mitigate risks to minimize schedule impact.
  • Support department and divisional goals.

Job Description
Job Summary

Coordinate the planning of a product line to support the demand of the business. This includes expediting, and interfacing with manufacturing and quality departments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs in 1 major functional area:

  • Coordinates production planning workflow for one or multiple products
  • Reviews the monthly build plan and creates/schedules work orders to load the manufacturing floor to best utilize production work cell equipment and resources, based on material availability
  • Collaborates with appropriate team members to determine optimal utilization of production capacities and to resolve scheduling conflicts
  • Prepares/updates daily, weekly and monthly production, sales and inventory reports
  • Works with the materials team to research and remedy inventory errors resulting from missing and incorrect work order transactions
  • Understand and manage risks to minimize impact on the production schedule
  • Support department and divisional goals
Job Skills & Abilities
  • Strong knowledge base in operating systems: MAPICS, APS, manufacturing backlog
  • Computer proficiency in Office; especially Word & Excel
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain working relationships internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and apply critical thinking to problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to coordinate work flow and identify and respond to priorities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of shop floor and flow of product
Education and Experience
  • HS Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 4 years of production scheduling or prior planning experience is preferred
  • Previous experience using MRP software
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
