Are you looking to grow your career in purchasing within a manufacturing environment? We are seeking a Buyer to coordinate purchasing activities and support the acquisition of inventory, materials, components, equipment, and services in a cost-effective and timely manner. In this role, you will work closely with manufacturing and engineering teams while developing and maintaining a technical understanding of the products you purchase. You will assist with cost analysis, volume planning for major commodities, supplier development, and vendor management to help ensure quality and value.

Responsibilities:

• Enter orders into SAP or Vantage systems and place purchase orders with vendors (40%).
• Issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) as needed to support purchasing activities (20%).
• Review and modify supply schedules to help ensure uninterrupted production and material availability (10%).
• Maintain monthly purchasing reports and related documentation (10%).
• Research and evaluate new suppliers, products, and sourcing opportunities (5%).
• Ensure all purchased items and services are properly documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders (10%).
• Work with Accounts Payable and vendors to investigate and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies (5%).

Desired Background/Skills:

• 1 to 3 years of purchasing, expediting, and trafficking experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Bachelor's degree in a business-related discipline required.
