Job summary

Quanex in Cambridge, Ohio is seeking a Mixing Operator II for the 3rd shift (10pm–6am) to join our manufacturing team.

The role involves weighing raw materials, loading the mixer per the recipe, and maintaining batch records, while following safety and quality standards.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 55 lbs, work 8–12 hour shifts, and obtain forklift and aerial certifications as needed.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification is required.
• Aerial certification preferred or required for cross-training.

Responsibilities

• Weigh raw materials and add them to the mixer according to the recipe on the batch card.
• Follow batch card and JQTL instructions as written.
• Properly collect, package, and label raw materials, production components for testing or retention.
• Input/Scan raw materials for batching and maintain accurate batch records.
• Properly operate, maintain and calibrate equipment so data is accurate and reliable.
• Perform changeovers and end-of-run cleanouts.
• Cross-train on multiple mixers in the butyl work cell.
• Maintain 6S standards and communicate effectively with team.
