Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Hyannis, MA is seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to perform cutting, preparation, display and sale of meat products while delivering friendly, efficient service in line with store SOPs and our core values.

You will cut, platter and merchandise beef, pork, lamb, veal and poultry; support trainees, uphold health and safety standards, monitor spoilage, and assist customers with product knowledge and recommendations.

Qualifications

• 14+ months retail experience.
• Successful completion of WFM Butcher Apprentice Program or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises products (beef, pork, lamb, veal, poultry).
• Maintains sampling program and monitors spoilage.
• Provides excellent customer service and assists customers with product knowledge.
• Mentors Meat Cutter Trainee(s) and supports SOPs.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and ensures accurate pricing.
