Job summary

Rancho Santa Fe Association is seeking a dining room helper to support the service team in a newly renovated restaurant. You will clear and reset tables, assist servers, and maintain spotless dining areas to ensure a seamless, elevated guest experience for Members.

The role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, with physical duties including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods. Background checks and drug screening apply, and EEO policies are observed.

Qualifications

• Prior bussing, food running, or dining room experience preferred but not required.
• Food Handler certification, or ability to obtain.
• Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Fully flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Clears and resets tables promptly and discreetly between courses and after guests depart.
• Sets tables to Club standard, including linens, flatware, glassware, and china, prior to and during service.
• Refills water and bread service, and assists servers with delivering non-alcoholic items as directed.
• Maintains cleanliness of the dining room, patio, and service stations throughout each shift.
• Transports dishware safely to the dish pit and assists with proper sorting and organization.
• Restocks service stations with linens, silverware, glassware, and condiments.
• Help others when needed and assist with room turns and setup for private events and Member functions.
• Communicates promptly with servers and management regarding table status and readiness.
• Follows all Club sanitation and safety procedures.

Date: Monday, September 28 from 12:00pm-6:00pm

Tuesday, September 29 from 9:00am -12:00pm and 4:00pm - 7:00pm

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for supporting the dining room team by maintaining clean, properly set tables and a smooth flow of service, allowing Members to enjoy an uninterrupted, elevated dining experience.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Clears and resets tables promptly and discreetly between courses and after guests depart.
• Sets tables to Club standard, including linens, flatware, glassware, and china, prior to and during service.
• Refills water and bread service, and assists servers with delivering non-alcoholic items as directed.
• Maintains cleanliness of the dining room, patio, and service stations throughout each shift.
• Transports dishware safely to the dish pit and assists with proper sorting and organization.

• Because of the fluctuating demands of the Club's operation, it may be necessary that each employee perform a multitude of different duties; therefore, as an essential part of this position is to help others when the occasion arises.

• Communicates promptly with servers and management regarding table status and readiness.
• Follows all Club sanitation and safety procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Frequent or occasional need to perform the following physical activities: grasping, finger dexterity, bending, twisting. Lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Standing and walking on various surfaces for an extended period of time.
